Believe in Yourself

With the fall season in full swing now also comes a new fall season of TV shows.  I don’t watch too many of the new shows for fear that I’ll get hooked and then have to watch every episode.  But there are a few shows that I look forward to all the time.  America’s Got Talent isn’t usually one of them though – I haven’t watched a full season of that yet and I really would like to, I just haven’t yet.  But… when the commercial came on for it the other day, I remembered this man that was on a few seasons ago and decided I wanted to find the link and post it here.  I really feel like this is one of the most memorable people for me.  Here is a man who has never had great self-worth or a positive self-image and yet he faced his fear and went for it.  Even the judges doubted him.  It is so interesting to see their faces at the beginning full of doubt and even annoyance and disbelief and see how their faces change to hope, joy and surprise as they watch him.  He is now singing opera for an opera company!  Belief in oneself goes a long, long way.

Do you believe you are capable?  If you showed your true self, would people be surprised by you and your abilities and talents?  No one else can give you what you can:  an honest, true and positive self-image and worth.
